Why You Might Not Be Receiving Wallet Alerts

Troubleshooting Wallet Pass Alerts

Digital wallet passes — whether in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet — make it easy to keep membership cards in one place. One of their biggest advantages is the ability to receive Wallet Alerts: push notifications that notify you of updates, eg. an upcoming event, or a new member reward.

But sometimes, people find those alerts never arrive. Here are the most common reasons why:

1.

Device Settings

On iPhone, Wallet Alerts can be silenced if notifications for Wallet are turned off in Settings. On Android, Google Wallet follows your system notification preferences. If notifications are blocked, alerts simply won’t appear.

2.

Focus or Do Not Disturb

Both iOS Focus Modes and Android’s Do Not Disturb can mute Wallet Alerts. Unless Wallet is allowed as an exception, or marked as a “Time-Sensitive” app on iOS, updates will quietly sync in the background but not trigger a visible alert.

The Bottom Line

If you’re not seeing Wallet Alerts, it’s usually due to device settings or Focus/DND modes.
